This year there are 25 FFA members in the Hyannis FFA Chapter, which is good enrollment considering there are about 60 students in the entire school grades 7-12. This year the Hyannis FFA also has a new advisor, Ms. Jody Soester who hails from the Marsland/Crawford area.  

To start the year off, the newly elected Chapter Officers of Megan Adams (President), Amanda Johnson (Vice President), Jamie Menuey (Secretary), Kristen Burgess (Treasurer), Dain Applegarth (Sentinel), Trevor Evans (Parliamentarian), and Hazy Nielson (Reporter) went to COLT conference held in Aurora, NE on May 24-26.

The Hyannis FFA Chapter has also worked the concession stand for fundraising, hosted the first annual Halloween masquerade dance, and attended Sandhills Leadership Conference at Halsey, NE and IMPACT at Scottsbluff, NE.  The Chapter also pulled the local communities together to collect non-perishable goods for the Million-Can Challenge food drive.  The food items donated will be taken to the local food bank at Alliance, NE.
