Shickley FFA participated in the
District 8 Leadership Skills Contest

On Wednesday, January 21, 2008 the Shickley FFA participated in the District 8 Leadership Skills Contest in Aurora, NE.
Members participated in Extemporaneous Speaking, Senior Public Speaking, Interview Skills, and Creed Speeking. Four Ag students attended to grade tests and time speakers. They included Brett Sheffield, Bret Carlson, Ross Houck, and David Hochstetler .
Shickley FFA members that participated in the LSE events included: Tyler Launestein, who recieved a Blue Ribbon in Senior Public Speaking, Will Mick who participated in Extemporaneous Speaking and received a blue, Cody Straight recieved a Blue Ribbon in the Interview Skills Contest, Wade Walters who participated in Cooperative speaking and recieved a Blue Ribbon, Marissa Hochstetler participated in Junior Public Speaking and recieved a Red Ribbon, Jeremy Row who participated and Natural Resource and recieved a Red Ribbon and Amy Hendrickson who recieved a Red Ribbon in the Creed Speaking Contest.
We would like to give a special thanks to our local FFA Alumni members who help judge contests that day: Paul Sheffield, Jenise Straight, Interview Contest Judge, Joe Kamler, Natural Resources Speaking Judge, Pat Kamler, Creed Speaking Judge, Stan Johnson, Senior Parliamentary Procedure Judge, Scott Schlegel, Tim Sherbeck, Junior Parliamentary Judges, and Dan Hendrickson, Demonstrations Judge.
