HEMINGFORD, Neb. -- The Hemingford FFA Chapter is not going to hold their annual Ag Days this year. However, the Chapter will be holding a Rocky Mountain Oyster/Fish Fry feed in the fairgrounds multipurpose building on Friday, March 13 at 6:00 p.m.
The menu includes oysters or fish, potato salad, baked beans and a drink. Tickets to the event are $7.00 each and available at the door.
The night will also include the Hired Hand Auction, where winning bidders receive a Hemingford FFA member as a hired hand for a day. There will also be a project auction, featuring projects made by Ag students in the shop, and a drawing for a free car. THAT'S RIGHT a free car.
Anyone holding a ticket to the meal will have their chance at winning a car. It is not a new car, but the body, tires, and interior are in good shape and the vehicle is mechanically sound. You must be present to win.
Hemingford FFA Sponsor, Gordon Karney said, "It is our hope that this giveaway will entice more people to come out."
The Chapter is also looking for door prizes to be given away during the meal. If anyone would like to donate door prizes or donations towards the purchase of food and supplies, you can send checks to: Hemingford FFA Chapter; P.O. Box 217; Hemingford, NE 69348, or call Mr. Karney at 487-3328.
