On Jan. 20, 2009, several FFA members competed in different events at LSE (Leadership Skills Events.) The following members had a very successful competition:

Creed Speaking—Samantha Rice 1st, Maci Lienemann 2nd. Both are state qualifiers.
Job Interview—Meradith Ganow 1st, Madison Lee 2nd. Both are state qualifiers.
Junior Public Speaking—Liz Boender 1st and a state qualifier.
Natural Resources Speaking—Jessica Stephenson 1st and a state qualifier.
Agriculture Demonstration—Amanda Docter, Kelsey Gugat, Rachel Gries, and Lauren Ganow, 1st place and state qualifiers.
Extemporaneous Speaking—Amanda Docter 1st and state qualifier.
Junior Parliamentary Procedure—Meradith Ganow, Jessica Stephenson, Emilia Woeppel, Grace Woeppel, Melissa Woeppel, Maci Lienemann, and Liz Boender, 1st and state qualifiers.
Senior Parliamentary Procedure—Will Devine, Madison Lee, Emily Rice, Lindsay Damkroger, Sarah Wieskamp, and Brooke Preston, 1st and state qualifiers.
Also competing were Emilia Woeppel, blue ribbon in junior, Taylor Reed, red ribbon in Natural Resources, Briana Gaston, red ribbon in Extemporaneous, Lindsay Damkroger, red ribbon in Senior Public, Jill Docter and Melissa Woeppel, blue ribbons in Cooperative Speaking, and Samantha Rice, Ali Ganow, Devin Heusinkvelt, Sam Steward, Brianna Gaston, Maggie Nutter, and Nick Devine, purple ribbon and alternate to state in Junior Parliamentary Procedure.
