The Denison FFA received a veritable rainbow of awards for competing in six events at the Southwest District FFA Leadership Conference on Saturday, March 7.

   Job Interview contestant Sara Swafford received a silver placing and Austin Mcminimee, who competed in Arc Welding, received a bronze placing.

   Colin Krajicek, Laura Bohnker, and Caleb Schroeder had the top scores for the Denison FFA chapter and will be taking the Greenhand Quiz at the State contest. The Greenhand Quiz is a test of a member’s knowledge of the organization, its history, and more.

   The Conduct of Meetings team of Colin Krajicek, Nick Stover, RJ Slechta, Nathan Ketelsen, Caleb Schroeder, Alex Vary, and Laura Bohnker placed gold, and will serve as an alternate for the State competition.

   Whitney Reimers advanced to State competition with a gold placing in the Ag Sales contest.

   Magie Quail, Alex Harm, Lucas Deiber, Samantha Ray, and Aaron Baughmann of the Parliamentary Procedure team will be participating in the State contest after placing gold on Saturday as well.

   The Iowa FFA Leadership Conference will be April 16 and 17 in Des Moines.
