The Blue Hill FFA Chapter recently held a Teacher Appreciation breakfast to show their thanks for all the hard work their school's teachers and other staff put into the education and well being of their students.
The FFA students chose to have their breakfast on the Friday of National FFA Week, on which they did not have school due to a teacher in-service.
"We thought it would be a great way to show our teachers how much we really appreciated them, getting up early on a day we had off to give them a hot breakfast before they had a day of meetings. It was a fantastic success," said Chapter President Lance Atwater.
It was also a great way to get the community involved, as all of the food was donated by local businesses or supplied by members and their families.
This is not the first time the Blue Hill FFA has held a teacher breakfast—in fact, it is a tradition for the chapter that has been in place since the late 1970's.
"I know the teachers really appreciate and enjoy it," quoted FFA advisor and Ag teacher Melissa Bonifas. "It's great getting to be on both the FFA and teacher sides of it."
